Mortgage Rating for 15 August

Today’s mortgage rating day was a 2.  My mortgage rating will be on a 1 to 10 scale on how good of a day it was to open a mortgage.  Right now has to be the worst time to sign a mortgage.  I am currently predicting a fed rate cut by the end of the year, but until then subprime fear and liquidity issues will keep your rates UP UP UP.  Current mortgage rates:

30 year fixed: 6.26% (up 0.6%)

15 year fixed: 5.89% (up 0.5%)

30 year jumbo: 7.08% (up 3.2%)

That’s right folks, the jumbo is over 7 on average.  Up change rates are week-to-week Face it, it is 8 percent at some worthless lenders.
