Just as I began to talk about mortgage rate stabilization, we’re seeing mortgage rates climb significantly over the past week.  The week-over-week increase on the 15-year fixed mortgage rates ended at 22 basis points.  The 30-year fixed mortgage rates are up 24 basis points.  The 30-year jumbo is climbing well above that 7 percent benchmark to 7.19%.
